I grew up in Northern New Jersey, sketching its woods, ponds and flowers.
I attended various colleges – graduating from S.U.N.Y New Paltz with a degree in Fine Arts. After graduation, I was a freelance commercial artist: I also did “Portraits of Peoples Homes”. I am now devoting myself full time to painting whatever interests me. Some of my favorite subjects include New England – the sea birds, flowers and marine life, and the fishing fleet. The historic Hudson Valley – it’s mountains, lakes and architecture, and the critters motivate me. My Southwest focus is on it’s grasslands, deserts, and mountains; and the wildlife and flowers found in this diverse area.
I paint whatever inspires me – whether its because of the color, the interplay of objects or things in changing weather and clouds conditions.
